Mongolia: Ulaanbaatar Air Quality Improvement Program and Ulaanbaatar Air Quality Improvement Program – Phase 2
The program consisted of two PBLs, $130 million in 2018 and $160 million in 2019. The first subprogram aimed to improve Ulaanbaatar’s air quality by implementing pollution reduction measures and improving urban infrastructure, and to provide budget support. -
Armenia: Human Development Enhancement Program
The program identified education and health sector reforms for JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游 support through a policy-based loan. The program addressed four broad areas. The first two were reducing poverty and addressing inequalities, as well as accelerating gender equality and women’s empowerment through better education and access to health services. The other two were making cities more livable by disallowing smoking in public places and supporting road safety through child-seat safety measures and strengthening governance and institutional capacity of the National Institute of Education. -
India: Jammu and Kashmir Urban Sector Development Investment Program (Project 3 and Multitranche Financing Facility)
The MFF’s expected impact was sustainable economic growth through the provision of urban infrastructure services and the promotion of urban management improvement in the target towns, and other selected towns with tourism potential in the state. The two intended outcomes were improved living environment and employment opportunities for the 2.4 million people in the target towns and other participating towns with tourism potential, and improved capacity of participating institutions in managing sector reforms and service delivery. India: Jammu and Kashmir Urban Sector Development Investment Program (Project 1)
The project focused on improving urban infrastructure for water supply, sewerage and solid waste management. Indonesia: Stepping Up Investments for Growth Acceleration Program (Subprograms 1, 2, and 3)
The program aimed to improve the country’s global competitiveness to attract foreign and domestic investments, in line with JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游’s country partnership strategies (CPSs) for Indonesia, 2012–2019. This would require (i) reducing the cost of doing business, (ii) improving the private sector participation framework for developing infrastructure through new financing modalities, and (iii) improving public procurement to allow for a larger spending in infrastructure. Viet Nam: Public–Private Partnership Support Project
The project sought to address these issues through a loan to help the government enhance the environment for the use of PPPs to spur additional infrastructure development, as well as establish a pipeline of PPP infrastructure projects. The intention was to strengthen institutions to support the development of bankable PPP projects and improve the institutional framework and capacity for the advancement of PPPs. People's Republic of China: Lanzhou–Chongqing Railway Development Project
The Lanzhou–Chongqing Railway Development Project (the project) was aimed at improving the railway system in the western region by (i) constructing 820 km of railway lines and 31 stations with equipment installed for train operations, and (ii) strengthening institutional capacity of the proposed project implementing and operating agency. Its target impact was an improved transport system in the region that supported socioeconomic development and the western development strategy. -
Indonesia: Fiscal and Public Expenditure Management Program
The program aimed to reduce income inequality and improve social sector spending—such as pro-poor-related expenditures on education, health and social security, and public infrastructure. Its expected impact was a reduced household income inequality, which is aligned with the National Medium-term Development Plan, 2015–2019. The expected outcome was improved social sector and infrastructure spending by 2021. This report validates the completion report's assessment of the program. IED overall assessment: Successful. -
Philippines: Road Improvement and Institutional Development Project
The project was approved to address the need for an efficient road subsector in the Philippines. Its target impact was improved accessibility to transport infrastructure and services. The expected outcome was more effective management of the road network in the project area by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
