This publication highlights the key achievements and lessons learned from the income restoration program (IRP) for households affected by land acquisition and resettlement for the Noi Bai–Lao Cai Highway Project in Viet Nam.
The IRP was implemented from 2010 to 2014 by the Ministry of Transport through Viet Nam Expressway Corporation, with financial support from JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游. A total of 12,548 severely affected and vulnerable households participated in the program. The planning and implementation process as well as the benefits and outcomes of the IRP are outlined in this publication to share knowledge and promote governance and institutional capacity in upholding social safeguards among key stakeholders.
