The position is assigned in the Risk Policy and Architecture Division (RMPA) within the Office of Risk Management (ORM). ORM has a broad mandate and ensures that JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游’s Treasury, Sovereign, and Non-sovereign operations are sustainable by safeguarding JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游’s rating, advising Board and Management on risk issues, and implementing and promoting a strong internal risk culture.
RMPA establishes and maintains policies, procedures, and tools for risk management that are consistent with those of other multilateral development banks (MDBs) and prudent banking principles. The principal responsibilities of RMPA include: (i) establishment and maintenance of best practice policies, methods and procedures for credit, market, and operational risk; (ii) development and maintenance of tools and systems to support enterprise-wide risk management; (iii) maintenance of a ratings desk; (iv) analysis, rating, and monitoring of the creditworthiness of JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游’s sovereign borrowers; (v) data management; and (vi) limit monitoring and risk reporting.

Job Purpose
The Senior Risk Management Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to Director, RMPA and assigned international staff; and support the various activities of the division.
The incumbent will report to Director, RMPA, and designated international staff.
Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Provides effective and efficient administrative support to Director, RMPA and other assigned international staff including but not limited to managing calendar, arranging meetings and travels, responding to queries, and coordinating with internal and external parties .
- Proposes, collects, and implements ideas for streamlining administrative processes.
- Office Administration and Coordination
- Liaises with Director, RMPA in monitoring the workload distribution and scheduling the division’s projects and activities. Consolidates inputs and regular updates to the division’s workplan.
- Coordinates the annual and midyear budget requirements for the division and liaises with the front office for any additional resource requirements.
- Coordinates and gathers data for reports and presentation materials as necessary; and ensures that documents are handled promptly, and confidential documents are secured.
- Assists in organizing the quarterly Risk Committee meetings, informal Board sessions, interdepartmental meetings, and other related meetings.
- Communication and Document Management
- Ensures efficient handling, dissemination, and smooth flow of incoming and outgoing documents and information requests.
- Monitors incoming and outgoing reports, policy papers, and other documents for comments; ensures all correspondences are prepared and sent promptly in accordance with JJ竞技(拉萨)登录手游 standards.
- Implements and handles records management including logging and uploading in RMPA’s SharePoint site.
- Maintains and updates the Comprehensive Risk Policy Binder. Informs relevant departments of changes and updates.
- Others
- Relieves other Risk Management Assistants when they are absent, as required.
- Assists in various initiatives undertaken for the division.
- Orients new staff joining the division on basic office regulations and requirements; assists with their general inquiries and other requests concerning office work.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent’s work plan.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a similar capacity in an international organization or a large multinational company.
- Ability to manage priorities and workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standardized practices.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Familiarity in videoconferencing tools (MS Teams, Zoom, Webex).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good memo composition and editing skills; and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical thinking with ability to make simple causal links, pros and cons lists and analyses to reach a decision.
- Experience in developing and implementing operational and administrative procedures.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.
